The Finance Expert contributes to supporting local organizations to enhance their financial efficiency and ensure their compliance with local and international standards of transparency and accountability. The expert analyzes financial systems and policies, provides practical recommendations, and designs support tools to ensure resource sustainability and enhance donor confidence. He also plays a pivotal role in implementing MAEIN's methodology to assess and develop the organizational capacities of local organizations (MOAD) related to the Finance Hub, and in developing capacity-building plans that respond to the needs of partners.​


Main responsibilities

  • Leading institutional assessment processes in the governance axis using MAEIN's methodology to assess and develop the organizational capacities of local MOAD organizations.
  • Review and analyze financial policies, strategic plans, and periodic financial reports.
  • Examining internal control mechanisms and compliance with international accounting standards.
  • Design financial tools and models that help improve institutional efficiency.
  • Preparing comprehensive analytical reports including observations, recommendations, and improvement plans.
  • Providing specialized advice to partner organizations on best practices in financial management and governance.
  • Contribute to training and building the capacity of financial and administrative teams to ensure sustainable performance.


Qualifications and requirements: 
  • University degree in accounting, finance, or business administration (Master's preferred).
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in financial management or accounting in humanitarian/development organizations.
  • Familiarity with International Accounting Standards (IFRS/IPSAS) and internal audit and control mechanisms.
  • Experience in preparing financial reports and managing budgets.
  • Strong consulting and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English.
